A metaphysical action adventure love story where the space ship crew of an ancient Earth colonize a planet and use technology to turn themselves into immortal gods: one man stands alone to fight his old colleagues and free mankind from eternal slavery.

Far into the future. Long after the Destruction of Earth.

We find ourselves on an earthlike planet of 2000 years ago. What remains of humankind's descendants are subjugated by the First Colonists. The First Colonists were the crew of the spaceship which brought them from Earth. They have taken control of technology so advanced they have enhanced themselves with godlike psychic powers and technical immortality, living lives based on an ancient Earth religion but surrounded by electronic weaponry within the trappings of a primitive civilization, caught in a classic drama of power, love, honor, pride, fantasy, war, and transcendence.

Our hero is Sam, ready to battle the tyrannical forces of the Celestial City to free an enslaved world. Sam was himself a god, but now he and his forces are arrayed against his former love Kali, Goddess of Destruction, and Yama, Lord of Death, and the entire Pantheon of Heaven.  . . .

Sam is a dreamer, master strategist and schemer. He is the trickster, becomes the Buddha, Siddhartha, and Binder of the Rakasha Demons; he is the renegade god who fights to change the course of an entire civilization, and upon whose shoulders rests the future of the entire world.
